Privacy

We take your privacy seriously.

While we do not collect identifying information about our virtual visitors, we use standard software to collect information for the strict purpose of understanding how people use our site. Read below to see how we use and protect your information.

We currently collect personal information on our website only when you elect to provide it to us through the online forms used in registering for electronic banking products or when you send us an e-mail message. When you send us an e-mail, it is not encrypted and should not contain confidential personal information. When you use Bank OnLine or Bill Pay, we retain your transaction information for our accounting records.

We maintain security standards and procedures to help prevent unauthorized access to confidential customer information. We update and test our technology to improve protection of our customer information and to assure the integrity of our information.

With our own security infrastructure in place, we are confident that access to your accounts is private and secure. However, we are unable to provide similar assurances for other web sites. While Online works to protect your banking privacy, you also play a role in protecting your accounts. Only provide your User Name, ID and passwords when your browser shows a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connection directly to the Online web site or to another site you have investigated and fully trust. It’s also a good rule of thumb to keep your browser up to date. Find the latest versions in the sidebar.

Our website uses "cookies" to provide better service to our customers. A cookie is a piece of data given to a browser by a Web server and recognizes whether or not you have visited the site before. We use temporary cookies in places where you need to register—such as our online banking site, Bank OnLine, and Bill Pay—so it will only respond to your computer while you are in a login session. Cookies are also used anywhere you are able to customize the information you see.  Our cookies do not reveal anything about you that you have not already explicitly revealed. You can set up your Web browser to inform you when cookies are set or to prevent cookies from being set, although you will not be able to use Bank OnLine and Bill Pay without cookies.

If you choose to contact us via e-mail, please keep in mind that your e-mail address, or any other information your e-mail header shows about you (such as your name or organization) will be revealed to us in the e-mail. Various employees may see the information you submit in the course of their official duties. When you communicate with us via e-mail, we use your e-mail information only for the specific purpose of responding to your comments or questions or to enhance our service to you. Your e-mail address will not be sold, nor will it be shared with any company, agency or person not affiliated with the bank unless you have requested a specific service provided by a third party, or we are compelled to do so by law.

When you choose to send e-mail to Online you are consenting to the bank using the information provided therein, including personal identifying information.

Standard electronic mail is not necessarily secure against interception. Do not include any information that is sensitive, personal or confidential (such as your bank account, credit card or Social Security numbers) in your e-mail messages.  For secure correspondence, it is advisable to use the secure mail messaging available when you log in to Bank OnLine if you are a customer and a registered user or to call Customer Service DirectLine at (800) 257-8316.

Our website is not targeted or marketed to children.

Privacy Statement

Our approach to privacy is different than some financial institutions. We do not sell your personal information to anyone. And we do not share it with anyone outside the Online family and those we work with to provide you products and services. Such companies act on our behalf, and use the information only to provide the products and services we have asked them to provide for you and us.

Our privacy policy will help you understand more about the information we collect and how we use it. The policy pertains to nonpublic consumer information, where consumer is defined as an individual (and his or her legal representative) who obtains or has obtained a financial product or service from us to be used primarily for personal, family or household purposes.
